How to watch AC Milan vs Juventus?
AC Milan host league leaders Juventus as the two most coveted teams in Italian football battle it out on Tuesday evening.
It has been another disappointing season for AC Milan considering the team they once were and their ambitions. They are aiming for a place in next year’s Europa League, and they now sit in 7th. Their form since the restart has been good after comfortable wins over Roma, Lecce and Lazio, but they will be disappointed in their comeback 2-2 draw against relegation strugglers SPAL in which they recorded an incredible 42 shots. Their performance improved drastically against Lazio at the weekend as they ran out 0-3 winners at the Stadio Olimpico. Milan are currently at 3.65 to triumph over Juve.
Just like Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, Juventus appear to turn it on when it really matters and have now won their last seven games which sees them four points ahead of rivals Lazio. They do have a tricky run of fixtures coming up, and if they can come out relatively unscathed, then the title will surely be theirs. Another Serie A win this season will make it an incredible nine titles in a row for “The Old Lady”. They are at odds of 2.02 to defeat AC Milan.
As AC Milan are far from the force they once were, this match has lost some of its importance as Juventus have dominated the rivalry in the past ten years. However, it’s still one of the biggest games in Italy, and the Rossoneri would love nothing more than to scupper Juve’s title challenge despite almost guaranteeing them another title by beating Lazio. 2016 was the last time they defeated Juventus in the league, although they have managed draws in the previous two matches which will give them some hope for optimism. Milan have struggled for goals this season with a measly 39 so far, resulting in the signing of veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimović. However, despite a disappointing start to his career in Milan with zero goals in the first part of the season, Ante Rebić has bounced back with nine goals in his last eleven matches in Serie A, and he’s at 3.25 to find the net again.
