Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany.
Saturday 13th June 2020.
Kick-off: 18:30 (CEST).
Bayern have been brilliant in the Bundesliga since the restart. They’ve won all of their matches including two away wins against Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen. They are also in the DFB-Pokal final after beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 on Wednesday. Bayern avenged their early season loss to Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, and they aim to do the same on Saturday as they lost 2-1 to Gladbach in December. Bayern are at 1.35 to win this match.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have had a rather mediocre restart. They’ve managed two wins, two defeats and a draw. They lost their previous match 1-0 in a tricky game away to Freiburg. They’re still in the Champions League positions, but they have Bayer Leverkusen breathing down their necks with the same number of points. You can find odds of 8.00 for a Borussia Mönchengladbach triumph.
Borussia have a decent record against Bayern; notching three wins in the previous five matches between the two. They thrashed Bayern 0-3 at the Allianz last season and got a dramatic 2-1 win earlier in the season on home turf. Ramy Bensebaini scored twice in that game (this season), and he’s at 8.00 to grab another goal again. Gladbach will also be buoyed by the suspensions of Bayern’s (and the Bundesliga’s) top goalscorer Robert Lewandowski and assist leader Thomas Müller. Despite all this; Bayern still head into the match as heavy favourites. A win here will almost certainly guarantee them another Bundesliga title. However, a loss will make the few remaining games a lot more interesting as a Dortmund win would leave them four points behind the Bavarians.
Injuries and suspensions
Bayern Munich: Corentin Tolisso, Niklas Süle, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller.
Borussia Mönchengladbach: Dennis Zakaria, Brett Embolo, Fabian Johnson, Raffael and Tobias Strobl.
