How to watch the Bundesliga?
The 2019/20 Bundesliga season is almost over, and we’re taking a look at what’s in store for the final day.
At the top
Bayern Munich have already won this season’s Bundesliga title which is their eighth in a row. The talking points of the final day lie elsewhere in the division. Borussia Dortmund have finished second once again this season with their 0-1 defeat to Bayern on 26th May being the final nail in the coffin.
Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen will be fighting for a Champions League spot on the last day. Gladbach are at home to Hertha Berlin, and Bayer Leverkusen face Mainz — also at home. Borussia are two points ahead of Leverkusen and will be expected to defeat Hertha Berlin and take a Champions League spot; odds of which are currently at 1.35. Anything can happen in football, and they certainly won’t be counting their chickens just yet! Meanwhile, Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim have secured Europa League spots by finishing in 6th and 7th respectively.
The main talking point of the final day will be about who can grab the last chance at survival and force themselves into a relegation playoff match. Düsseldorf are 16th and two points ahead of Werder Bremen in 17th. Düsseldorf travel to Union Berlin whilst Werder Bremen have a home tie against FC Köln. Werder Bremen have to win, or they will be playing second division football for the first time since 1981. A Düsseldorf draw should see them make the playoff match, but they will, of course, be looking to win.
Their opponents have nothing to play for, so our betting tip is for Werder Bremen and Düsseldorf to win their crucial matches at odds of 3.21 in a multiple bet.
