Champions League semi-final.
How to watch PSG vs RB Leipzig?
RB Leipzig play French champions Paris Saint-Germain as both teams look to make their first-ever Champions League final.
Leipzig progressed via a comfortable 4-0 aggregate victory over Tottenham in the round of 16 and a late Tyler Adams winner in their 2-1 quarter-final win against Atletico Madrid to make the semis. This is the biggest match in Leipzig’s short history after only being established in 2009. Not even their owners could have imagined a Champions League semi-final so soon when starting this project. Leipzig are at 2.80 to go one better and advance to the final.
PSG have found things much tougher in the knockout rounds as they came from behind in a 2-1 first-leg loss to Dortmund to win 3-2 on aggregate in the round of 16. They then left it even later against Atalanta in the quarter-finals with two injury-time goals despite trailing 0-1 for the majority of the match. Has that triumph over Atalanta removed PSG’s famous Champions League mental block? You can back the Parisians to win in 90 minutes at 1.79.
Paris Saint-Germain enter this semi as favourites with their big-name players such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Even though this is the first match between the two teams, the managers of both sides have faced each other in their previous jobs with PSG manager Thomas Tuchel getting the better over his fellow German Julian Nagelsmann with two wins and a draw.
Leipzig are known as a team that operate with a high press; they’ll have to press for their lives to make the final and if they can keep it even by the latter stages, they could force PSG into a few errors with their pressing tactics. Despite missing a few chances against Atalanta, Neymar put in another excellent display, and he will be looking to be more clinical in the semi-final. He’s at 2.05 to grab a goal at any point during the game.
Injuries and suspensions
Leipzig: Ibrahima Konate.
PSG: Keylor Navas.
The Germans are massive underdogs for this, but we feel it’s worth a punt for a Leipzig win in 90 minutes at odds of 4.30
